Advice
The Welfare takes in and rehomes both pet and working ferrets. In general the husbandry is the same whether the ferrets are to be used for hunting rabbits or simply care for as family pets.
Ferrets have been used for hundreds of years for hunting rabbits to provide food. Today, it is estimated that rabbits cause as much as £50 million of damaage to farmers' crops.
We are fortunate to have an experienced working ferreter supporting the Welfare and if you want to know more about working ferrets Steve would be very pleased to hear from you.

Steve is also available by private arrangement to undertake ferreting for the purposes of rabbit control.
