Bringing Ferrets to the Welfare for rehoming

The Welfare takes in stray, abandoned and unwanted ferrets.  However, accommodation is limited and priority will always be given to stray and abandoned animals.

STRAY FERRETS

If you find a stray ferret you are invited to contact the Welfare for advice and possible assistance.  Alternatively you may wish to contact your local veterinary centre or the RSPCA.

In general we are unable to collect ferrets due to lack of resources so we ask you to bring them to us whenever possible.

Stray ferrets will be accommodated at the Welfare for a minimum of one week before being put up for rehoming.

The Welfare does not make any charge or expect any donation for taking in stray or abandoned ferrets.

UNWANTED FERRETS

Subject to the space available and operating considerations we will try to take in unwanted ferrets when possible.  Please contact the Welfare for advice.

If the Welfare takes in your ferrets you will be asked to sign them over to the Welfare.

We will not be able to provide details of new owners.

Whilst it is not compulsory you will be invited to make a donation to the charity to help cover accommodation and rehoming expenses.

WHO TO CONTACT

Please contact the foster carer closest to you geographically.  However, if you do not receive a prompt reply you may wish to contact the second foster carer as the areas do overlap and they do assist each other whenever possible.
